About us, your Auburn insulation contractor

How I got into insulation

I learned insulation under an old school contractor who climbed into every attic behind me and made me redo anything that wasn't right. He used to say a covered mistake is still a mistake, and that stuck. I started this business in Auburn in 2013 with that in mind, and I still come out to look at every job myself.

Most of the calls I get around here are about a drafty room, a hot upstairs or a power bill that keeps climbing. Plenty come from folks holding two quotes who just want someone to explain the difference. What we're known for at Quality Auburn Spray Foam Insulation is attics and crawl spaces done in the right order, with the gaps sealed before anything gets covered up. I'd rather answer your tenth question than have you sign something you don't understand.

What you can count on from us

  • I come out and look myself

When you call, I'm the one who comes to your house, climbs into the attic or crawl space and tells you what I find in plain words. I write the estimate in the order we'd do the work, so you can lay it next to another quote and see where they differ.

  • Problems get fixed before they get covered

Roof leaks, old wiring and damp get dealt with first, then we do air sealing, which means closing the gaps around lights, pipes and the hatch, before any insulation goes down so what you pay for does its job. We keep the eave vents clear too, because an attic that can't breathe ends up with moisture in the framing.

  • A straight answer when it isn't ready

If your job isn't ready yet, if part of it is something you can handle yourself, or if it belongs to a roofer or an electrician, I'll tell you so. Before the crew shows up, we check with the city or county office for your address and pull any permit the work calls for.

  • A second look before we leave

A crew lead runs the install, and I look over the work myself before we pack up, the edges and corners included and not just the middle. If you'd like me to take a look at your house, call (334) 780-0054 or send us a note.

Licenses and the rules we work under

  • City of Auburn business license

The city requires any company working in Auburn to hold a city business license before it starts, renewed every year it operates, and everyone on a job site should either work for a licensed contractor or hold their own. We're licensed and insured, so you can ask about it when I come out.

  • Home builder license on larger jobs

Alabama's home builders licensure board counts anyone who builds, remodels or repairs a home as a residential home builder when the job runs over $10,000 with labor and materials included, unless the work falls outside the board's reach. On a job that size, it's fair to ask any contractor which license covers it.
